WPF Twitter Application

UPDATE #2: re-worked this app as Witty.

UPDATE: I added the source to CodePlex. http://www.codeplex.com/WPFTwitter

Here's a fun little Twitter WPF client application that I've been creating in my spare time. When I get a chance I'm going to blog more about it. In the meantime take a sneak peak. It's still very beta. Let me know if you run into any issues by posting comments to this blog post. Requires .NET 3.0 Framework. Also I've only tested this on Windows Vista.

ClickOnce Installation Url (Works out of the Box with IE.  For Firefox, use the FFClickOnce plugin)

<div class=ExternalClass7F59F2D82CBC4AD094F1B38D57FB5AF5>Well .... I entered the wrong password, but now I have no way of re-entering the correct password. I try the click-once again, I keep getting errors. I have no idea how to get the preferences to change it. There is no icon to start. These click-once apps suck. The usability is terrible. Where did it put it on my hard drive? How do uninstall it? How do I launch it? It has been and always will be MS problem with the &quot;out of the box&quot; experience that they are terrible at, the polish. Give me Apple! or Adobe!</div>

<div class=ExternalClass1FDE54B4A8BA4DE4A2C0B6749FBE3A01>Hi Scott, I just tested this on Windows XP and it does not work. I think the issue is with extending the Aero Class to the entire window. I need to come up with a better UI that does not need as much glass. Still have some good ideas for this app, now I just need to time to execute them :). Thanks for the feedback, Alan</div>

Unfortunately, my Vista bon is running with non US locale and I guess that you may be forging a HTTP Query containing a date in order to do a Get-If-Modified-Since or so, and I get an HTTP 500 error. If I switch back to US locale, it works.</div> <div> </div> <div>Could you please have a look at this?</div> <div> </div> <div>TIA!</div> <div> </div> <div>/CL</div></div>

<div class=ExternalClass39FD934AAF77421387522C08D8F1CD22>Hi Christophe, Thanks for the feedback! I'll look into the datetime and non-US locale problem. Just a heads up now that I have the framework in place, I'm totally reworking on a new version of a Twitter app done with WPF. Originally I trackled this application from bottom-up prospective with the Twitter class library then building a generic WPF shell on top of that. This time around I will focus more on the presentation side while learning more about Expression Design and Blend. Expect a better look and feel to come. Keep in mind that I'm doing this in my spare time, so progress has been slow. I'm just in the UI prototyping phrase :).</div>

Take you time, man.</div> <div> </div> <div>This first version is yet awesome, I'm really eager to hav a look at the next one ;)</div> <div> </div> <div>Regards -- </div></div>
